CPMA/PMA/UFPA Produce Traceability Initiative In October 2007, CPMA, PMA & UFPA launched the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI). A broad cross section of the produce supply chain including retailers, foodservice buyers and produce suppliers served on a steering committee to determine an action plan to enhance traceability throughout the supply chain. In the U.S., this plan is now being implemented and shippers to the U.S. should ensure they understand the requirements from their trading partners in the U.S. A number of companies have publically endorsed the Produce Traceability Initiative Final Action Plan and professed their intent to execute the milestones and corresponding timelines. The three associations are working on the creation of a dedicated website to support the PTI, in the interim please click below for supporting documents.
