Traceability

Regulatory requirements, coupled with the increasing need to trace and track product through the supply chain, have resulted in strong industry attention to traceability. At the core is the need for accurate and timely identification of products, their origin, location within the supply chain and the ability to execute an efficient recall. For government agencies, the focus is primarily on food safety but industry drivers are much broader including supply chain logistics, quality and identity preservation.
